Join us for a stimulating, late afternoon event with acclaimed novelist Neil Perry Gordon. A prolific writer of historical fiction, Neil will present from his collection of ten novels and lead a lively discussion, accompanied with readings of evocative passages from his books.
Afterwards, join Neil for a delicious dinner at the fabulous Canal Side Inn.

A continuation from the previous evening’s talk, along with a Q&A about Neil’s writing process, and a book signing by the author.

History of Inn at Stone Mill
The Stone Mill was erected in 1839 as part of the Burrows-Mohawk mills, and is the oldest building in the historic district. The Burrows-Mohawk mills produced a variety of textile products, including cotton and woolen yarn, blankets, and flannels. The mills were in operation from the mid-19th century to the mid-20th century and were a significant employer in the Little Falls area. At its peak, the Burrows-Mohawk mills were one of the largest textile manufacturers in the United States, producing millions of yards of fabric each year.
The Inn at Stone Mill is a historic boutique hotel located in Little Falls, NY. It is housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century mill building, originally built in 1839 and served as a hub of industry in the Mohawk Valley. Today, the Inn offers guests a unique blend of historic charm and modern amenities, with ten individually appointed guest rooms, featuring exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and luxurious furnishings.
The inn is conveniently located near many local attractions, including the Erie Canal and the Mohawk River, and is a popular destination for visitors to the region.

THE CANAL SIDE INN & RESTAURANT
The Canal Side Inn features a restaurant serving upscale American cuisine in a refined and intimate atmosphere. The restaurant is open for dinner five nights a week offering its guests a variety of delicious dishes made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.
The menu changes frequently to reflect the seasons and availability of ingredients, but typically includes a mix of classic American favorites along with creative, contemporary dishes.
